Who is Joey Mennella….?
Many stories can be told about Joey. Some include his never-ending pursuit of influence on pop culture that has stunned thousands or how he once lost five pounds over the course of two years. He is a versatile nerd with a somewhat creative approach to writing, and successfully captured lightning in a bottle by working on a childhood dream come true. From a galaxy far, far away, to the mysterious world of Pandora(not exactly the same Pandora you're thinking of), he has gathered experience working in themed entertainment, post production, video games and live television. The real question is… What can Joseph’s cumulative experience do for you? Walt Disney Imagineering As a creative show writer within theme park productions, Joey worked on several projects for WDI, including Star Tours 2.0, Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor and the new Fantasyland. Joey also gained experience in voice actor recordings, pitch meetings, storyboard creation and attraction design. Network As a production assistant for G4TV, Joey acted as a liaison between production teams for the station’s two highest rated programs: Attack of the Show and X Play. 2K Games Many 12 hour days were spent discovering game-crushing bugs as a quality assurance tester, whether by scouring the planet of Pandora in Borderlands 2(Yes, that Pandora), or taking to the city in the sky In Bioshock Infinite. Modern Videofilm Post production, where the magic is made and the deadlines are always met. A post coordinator’s typical day involved making sure all the editors and color correction artists got all of the necessary dailies in time for film and television shows such as Game of Thrones, Avatar(that other Pandora you were thinking of), and Machete Kills. Stelly Entertainment There is an old saying about placing ones posterior on a stove or near fire to learn how to do something new. Whether working as a script coordinator, or as an on set assistant, Joey learned first hand about the production of films and music videos from one of the best up and coming independent film producers. |
